Compression Molded
Compression (or rigid) molded friction materials are the most common in use today. The primary ingredient is short-fiber glass, combined with resin, friction modifiers; other powdered particles such as steel-wool, aramids, graphitics or rubber nitrates may be added to meet application performance requirements. ProTec offers dozens of formulations in flat sheets or molded to particular part dimensions.
