Sintered bronze yaw pads are designed for GE 1.5 and 1.6 MW wind turbines equipped with 12 and 18 piston passive yaw brake systems. The sintered bronze material has been specifically formulated to ensure exceptionally low wear in conjunction with minimal noise and vibration. By design, the sintered material is porous, offering the ability to absorb and distribute lubrication across the wear surface. The pads offer exceptional tensile and compressive strength, eliminating cracking, splitting and disintegration associated with other plastic based yaw pad materials.
APPLICATIONS Heavy Duty Brake Pads, Industrial Applications, Yaw Brakes
BONDING The use of any well-known thermosetting adhesive is recommended.
MATING SURFACE Good quality, fine grained pearlitic cast iron with Brinell hardness of 150-200 is recommended.
